Freight forwarding business moves into Heathrow Boulevard
Ann Church

An ambitious freight forwarding business has moved its Heathrow operation into larger more prestigious office accommodation close to Heathrow Airport as part of significant  growth plans for the firm.

Senator International Freight Forwarding Limited has taken c. 1,700 sq ft on the second floor of Building 4 on Orbit Development’s Heathrow Boulevard  campus, a mature landscaped business park with excellent access to Heathrow, the M4, M25 and Central London.

The move puts Senator UK at the heart of  its industry at Heathrow and will support its continuous drive to improve its first call service to clients and create a better working environment for its existing and future team.

A well established and respected international freight forwarder Senator UK has had a base in the country for over 25 years. It is part of the global Senator organisation which employs 1,700 people in 65 offices around the world with a corporate HQ in Hamburg, Germany.

The company works with a range of SME and corporate clients to deliver their shipments to and from the UK by air, ocean and road, including customs clearance at the border.

Managing Director Andy Whitehouse said moving into Heathrow Boulevard was a transformative step in the plan to grow the business and increase the firm’s presence in the area. “Heathrow Boulevard is located on the perimeter of Heathrow airport which is the perfect base for an international freight forwarding company, especially one with such significant volumes coming via the airport. It offers a modern, professional environment for our people, reflecting the status of Senator UK as leading experts in our field and underpinning the quality of services we provide. It’s somewhere for our brand identity to stand out and where we can be proud to welcome clients to discuss new contracts or just meet the team.

Attracting a wide range of national and international occupiers Heathrow Boulevard campus has also been designed with a work life balance in mind. Additional services – when they can resume safely – include networking events, free weekly yoga classes, regular gourmet food trucks, free shuttle bus to Staines shopping centre, and to airport terminals, mobile dry cleaning and car valeting.

Benn Dickinson from Orbit Developments said the property would support Senator UK as it moved into a new phase of growth. “We were pleased to be able to provide an office solution close to Heathrow which ticked all the boxes for visibility, quality and better brand profile. We wish them every success with their growth plans.”
