We are delighted to share that BMSI, one of our valued clients based in Sovereign Court, has recently expanded. They have been with us for over a decade and first joined us in 2011. Since then the business has developed and their team has expanded, resulting in BMSI acquiring an additional 573 sq ft of office space in our Sovereign Court office development.
BMSI is a leading company in building management systems and solutions that manage and control Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning systems installed within the buildings, to maintain comfortable levels of temperatures and air quality, saving energy and enhancing a building’s sustainability.
BMSI look after a large portfolio of buildings around Heathrow, including Heathrow Terminals 1, 3, 4 & 5, a number of airport lounges, British Airways’ portfolio, and approximately twenty other property buildings at Heathrow. With Sovereign Court being a stone’s throw away from Heathrow Airport, it provides a prime location for BMSI.
We caught up with Gary Rackham, Regional Manager of BMSI, to hear more about their expansion and why they chose to stay and continue their growth with us at Sovereign Court.
‘We looked around at nearby offices, but Sovereign Court made the most sense for us with its premium location and access to the airport. For over a decade Sovereign Court has accommodated our team and our expansion well, especially given how much work we do over at the airport. There are bus links directly outside the building, which is a great convenience for the team as they travel in and out of the airport on a daily basis. There is also parking available, and Orbit have allowed us to acquire more spaces in line with our growth. With so many key clients and projects based around Heathrow, having a base that’s both convenient and functional is crucial.’
BMSI’s headcount has grown from 14 to 26 and they also provide career opportunities for graduates as they take on Heathrow apprentices and train them up.
We are pleased that our building provides the ideal environment for businesses like BMSI to thrive, with a turnover of £5 million and an expanding portfolio, their success is well earned. This shows us that Sovereign Court is not just a temporary base but a long-term home for their growing operations.
